Location: Gunnedah, NSW AUSTRALIA

Amen was shot on a property called Pinecliff in 44 degree heat and with a number of intense looking storm cells forming giving me limited time. The clouds opened in front of me just for a second, and as if the timing was perfect a singular light shone through onto the property. Some time after this photo was taken and named, I found out that the property owner passed away on the day that I was there, and unbeknownst to me there is also a channel of water that runs behind the tree on that the property that the owner called ‘Amen Gully’. Sometimes I wonder whether being there at the time and naming the piece “Amen” was not a coincidence at all!
